True Beauty Part 2

Alright girls here is that much anticipated True beauty part 2! It only took me a month to finish! So I have 6 more characteristics to describe inner beauty. Lets go!!

  1. Courage: Okay girls here is another tough one, how many time have you let someone walk all over you, bully you or cause you to be nervous around them and unsure of yourself, girls I have been there when I should have spoken up, but didn't due to the fear of  be laugh at or dissed. or worried on what they would think of you. here are some encouraging words.
  • Deuteronomy 31:6

  •    So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
    • Joshua 1:9
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged.
For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
    • Psalm 27:14
Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
    • 1 Corinthians 16:13
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous.Be strong.

So girls I challenge you that when you are at school and you see someone in the hall who makes you question you beauty, strength,or makes your self-confidence drops, shoot up an arrow prayer to our heavenly father and ask Him for courage, to stand tall and confident for you are precious in His sight, then hold your head up high and repeat after me I am beautiful, confident and unique in my own special way because of who my heavenly father is!! if you keep telling yourself this, you eventually believe it!!

    2. Patience: Okay this is a tough one for me!!! but important when we have patience with those around us no matter how hard is, it shows that you care and are a great listener, also it will help you grow in your faith, to go through various trials that are put in you path. People will admire you for this quality. Especially, in a fast-pace, unpatience world.
    • James 1:2-4
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
    • Ecclesiastes 7:8
Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.
    • Romans 15:5
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.
    • Colossians 3:12
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
    • 1 Timothy 1:16
But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.

    3. Encourager:  How many of you love it when someone compliments you or encourages you? I know you do... because it makes us feel good and more confident, right?  But how many times do you compliment or encourage others?

    • 1 Thessalonians 5:11

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

  • Hebrews 10:25
  • And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

    4. Love: This is one of my favorite characteristics, This is also very important in today's world, Especially, with all the sin and darkness in this world. For example, Homosexuality, we are in no way to judge them for their lifestyle choice, but we need to the love the person and hate the sin Just as Christ did while he was here on earth. If you think about it, Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

  • 1 Timothy 1:15
  • This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all.

    • 1 Corinthians 13
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it;[a] but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages[b] and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 9 Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! 10 But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.[c] All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
    • Deuteronomy 11:22
“Be careful to obey all these commands I am giving you. Show love to the Lord your God by walking in his ways and holding tightly to him.
    • 1 Chronicles 16:34
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
    • Psalm 33:18
But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love
    • John 13:34-35
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
    • Galatians 5:13
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
    • 1 Thessalonians 3:12
And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.

So I could go on and on about love, but here is challenge number 2!!!  Look up Love in the concordance of your bible or go to biblegateway.com and type in love.

    5. Dignity:  Is respecting yourself and holding yourself accountable to your faith, and respecting your body( this doesn't meaning being prideful, or snooty, but realize that you are more precious than rubies. so keep your standards high.

  • Proverbs 31:25
  • She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.
    • Proverbs 31:10 (paraphrased)
Who can find a virtuous and capable wife (for the single gals out there, young woman) She is more precious than rubies.
    • Proverbs 11:16
     A gracious woman gains respect
  • but ruthless men gain only wealth.

  • 6. Gentleness: Here is are final characteristic, and quality of what inner beauty is. So what this means we need to be soft and personable, not boisterous and loud for this will only draw negative attention, For example, Is there a cute boy that catches your eye? and you want his attention? instead of  being loud, and obnoxious or a drama queen around him, see him as a friend and have a sweet demeanor around him,be yourself , You're probably saying to yourself "Natasha that is easier said than done." Girl...I have been there!!! Example: Your screaming and giddy on the inside which is great but try and control it around him. he will be more relaxed around you!!! and want to get to know you for who you are not because you're all over him.

    • Philippians 4:5
Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
    • 2 Corinthians 10:1-2
Now I, Paul, appeal to you with the gentleness and kindness of Christ—though I realize you think I am timid in person and bold only when I write from far away. 2 Well, I am begging you now so that when I come I won’t have to be bold with those who think we act from human motives.
    • Galatians 5:22-26
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things
  • 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.
